Kids can adapt, since we live in the community, she'd still have her friends from grade school. It's not like I'd be moving her across the country.

I was thinking the same, but what do I know. Just seems funny that the high school can remained highly rated with ill prepared students.

The kids would absolutely hate switching schools twice. I did it more than that....it sucked.

I think the unlikely piece here, is the Robs sending their kids to public.

If you switch them to private, they ain't going back to public. I'll guarantee that.

It looks like the middle school map scores are lower than the high school. I wonder if that is kind of the case overall in Missouri, I think Mehlville's is like this too.

Interesting. I didn't look, of course, but the middle school hypothesis seems reasonable to me. Middle school is when most kids are REALLY involved in multiple activities all through out the week. In the hope of making the HS team and then scholarships. Little time to focus on school work. Then comes HS. Most don't make the team and have time to refocus on academics. Also the HS teams are structured to have practices over by 6pm and only one a night.

I think change can be good for kids from a learning perspective.
