Great smallmouth fishing. One of my customers who lives down yonder told me that the Courtois didn't rise that much after all of the rain we had. I find that hard to believe but he has no reason to lie about it.

I always forget about Queeny. I've never fished in the main lake, but I know that back lake isn't that great. Maybe some catfish roaming around.

When it comes to fishing there's always a certain degree of bullshit involved.

Other stuff on the board, well, that depends on the topic.

It's a nice variety of fish.

I'll throw a mix betwix senkos, spinner baits, rooster tails and some small frogs.

They said the river rises and falls as quickly as the immediate rain dictates...rarley if ever do they see long term flooding.

Meanwhile Bull Shoals is still 30feet above normal level. We would have needed to anchor down our camper.

Never can go wrong with a black rooster tail.

Rebel Crawfish, Chompers twin tailed grubs, and Yum Crawbugs are all good bets too.

Most of the crankbaits I throw have red hooks. Gives them that blood in the water effect.
